Maintain log books and trip envelopes and ensure they are submitted in a timely manner
Able to climb into and out of the truck safely
Prepare truck for the day’s work
Inspect Equipment: Perform pre-trip inspections pursuant to D.O.T. regulations at the beginning of each shift,
with the completion of vehicle inspection reports required daily

Valid drivers license
Successful completion of D.O.T. medical/physical examination and drug screening

Develop efficient routes to ensure that deliveries are made in a timely fashion
Maintain contact with drivers throughout their shifts and address any routing issues they might have
Monitor road conditions, construction zones, and accidents in order to revise routes as needed
Update customers on the status of their deliveries including any delays that occur
Answer calls from delivery drivers and relay any emergencies they have to the appropriate channels
Responsible for the coordination and management of the schedules of various truck drivers to ensure products and goods are picked up and delivered on time. Address problems and requests by sending information and/or providing solutions.
Must have the ability to load information into a truck driving software program.
2-year degree or related work experience preferred but not required
1-2 years experience in the transportation field preferred but not required
